To manage all aspects of the safety, maintenance and repair of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island property and Mandhoo island, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, consistency with Hilton International Standards (including risk management), and achievement of planned profit,

Specific responsibilities include:

* Leading your team in the day to day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel including service standards, equipment schedules and work schedules

* Developing systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests, Team Members, plant, machinery and property

* Monitoring Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and taking corrective action as required – equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, etc

What are we looking some one with?

* A degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
* Experience of work in a remote area compulsory. 4/5 years as Assistant Chief Engineer or at least 2 years as Chief Engineer in a similar size property, similar remote location Experience in a senior position with extensive working knowledge of Engineering operations, preferably in the hotel industry
* Up to date knowledge of modern trends and applications in the field of Engineering
* Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting
* Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team
